Weekend Brunch

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Sydney! When on holidays, you’re always going out and trying different places… so this weekend to fight post-holiday syndrome why not gather some friends together and give these brunch places a try!

SHUK

2 Mitchell St, North Bondi NSW 2026

This is my favourite brunch place! Located in Bondi, open for both lunch and dinner, SHUK offers an incredible array of Israeli-Mediterranean dishes and house-baked bread.

Must try:

Shakshuka: Capsicum, tomato, onion, spices, eggs, olives & sourdough (make sure you add chorizo!)

80 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills NSW 2010
Voted as Cafe of the Year by Sydney Morning Herald’s 2017 Good Food Guide, Paramount Coffee Project offers a range of cold drip coffees and delicious food.
Must try:
Buttermilk Fried Chicken Waffle: with maple bacon gravy, chilli pickled apple, charred radicchio & roasted hazelnuts

The Potting Shed

The Grounds of Alexandria, 7A, 2 Huntley St, Alexandria NSW 2015

The Potting Shed is a place to meet, eat, drink, relax and chat your day and night away – where hanging plants, terracotta pots and timber beams meet brass, brick and iron. The menu offers a number of cozy share options for groups, three course substantial meal choices for those wanting to make an evening of it and a fun selection of nibbles for people wanting a light after-work snack with their cocktails or a share jug amongst friends.

Don’t forget to say hello to Kevin Bacon the pig, and Fluffy the macaw!

Must Try:

The Shed Cheese Burger: Ground brisket, onion rings, house sauce, pickles and melted cheese with chips (this dish comes on a shovel!)

White Taro

67 Albion St, Surry Hills NSW 2010

White Taro offers a range of Western food with a Vietnamese twist, by offering fresh salads with Asia herbs and coffee made to perfection with Pablo and Rustys coffee.

Must try:

Viet Skewer Chicken on a Black Brioche: Mixed lettuce, papaya, grain & seeds and aioli on house made brioche bun. Served with chips or salad

    1. As am I! And it’s always great to go out and get some fresh air rather than being stuck inside studying on the weekends!

  3. This is such a good campaign! Sometimes we don’t have the time or the funds to go on a holiday but Sydney does have its treasures that we can still enjoy ourselves immensely in. Will definitely try these places out during the weekends and once exams are over 🙂
