Take a hike this break!

Hello! Sorry that it’s been a while since my last post…

I have something very exciting to share with you all! It’s finally mid semester break so it’s time to take a break and go on an adventure. Who needs to go overseas to go on a holiday when there is a playground full of adventure right in our very own backyard?

Here are some amazing hikes in Sydney you must visit this break!

Figure 8 Pool

This amazing cluster of naturally formed rock pools are located at the Royal National Park only an hour away from Sydney CBD!

You would need to climb over many rocks, so this hike is relatively hard but you do hike along the coast and through Burning Palms Beach, and it is totally worth it because the view is absolutely breath-taking! Make sure you go during low tide as during high tide these rock pools are completely under water.

Blue Mountains

Hidden away in the west of Sydney is the Blue Mountains! There are a number of different hikes you could do – including the 6km National Pass hike! This hike takes you through not one, but two waterfalls including Empress Falls and Wentworth Falls. Make sure you wear a comfy pair of shoes as it does get quite steep at times (climbing the tallest outdoor staircase in Australia).

Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk

This walk combines stunning views of beaches, parks, cliffs, bays, and rock pools. Apart from walking there are other activities too from surfing, paddle boarding, diving, and snorkelling. So get a group of friends, take pictures, have a picnic, and enjoy the views!

Wedding Cake Rock

Located in Bundeena at the Royal National Park is this beautiful sandstone formation known as the Wedding Cake Rock.  Located about an hour away, this hike takes about an hour each way. Although there are signs blocking you from getting too close to the edge, this is still an amazing hike.
